Kevin and Sari's Wedding

Today is the day we've waiting a long time for.  Kevin and Sari's wedding.  They picked a great spot in Riveria Maya Mexico (Banyon Tree).  Each villa had it's own pool.

The rehearsal dinner consisted of a mariachi band, outdoor seating, speeches, family feud game, and a rain storm.

The night was only topped by the wedding itself.  Our flower girl was spectacular!  Best man speech on point, and the couple lovely.  We danced until the reception ended, and then headed to the after party (which turned into a pool party).

The trip, resort, wedding, and family/friends couldn't have been better.  A trip we will never forget.

Kevin's bachelor party

Halloween weekend in New Orleans might be one of the best bachelor party ideas. The city was packed! One giant party.

We landed a three bedroom - 5 bathroom - suite at the Mariott, free of charge, after some VRBO shenanigans. Right downtown in the French Quarter.

Our first night started with a bar crawl. Great event because we had a published schedule. So when people arrived into town they knew where to find us. The rest of the weekend was spent on Burbon St, Frenchmen St, Jazz bars, Harrah's casino, and all over the French Quarter. We even still found time to visit some of New Orleans more famous stops (Pat O'Brian's, Felix's Oyster House, carousel bar, cafe Du Monde, and the Krazy Korner)...

It was an epic weekend with a great group of guys. Hand grenades, hurricanes, frozen Irish coffees, and one or two rounds of beer. We partied with Parades, bands, flash mobs, and thousands of people in crazy costumes.

Kevin arrives to LA

Written By: Dan

After endless going away celebrations, he finally landed. I was lucky enough to have meetings in LA after my trip to Vegas - so I got to join him after his arrival. On Wednesday we picked him up at UCLA after an interview (1 day in LA = as many interviews as months in Michigan). We were not sure where to go, but found our way to a great time.

We started off by hanging a left from UCLA (that is all we really knew). After driving a little ways we ended up on Rodeo Drive. We did a little shopping, but couldn't find any candy, dollar store, or Salvation Army - so we left empty handed.

We again started aimlessly driving until we found Hollywood Blvd. We didn't konw anything about the road, except it probibly went ot Hollywood. Sure enough, it did. The road ended at grauman's chinese theater. We say the famous hand prints, theater, and celebrity look-alikes.

.

Next we walked next store to see why the road was closed. Found out it was for the Acadamy Awards ceremony on Sunday. We walked through the Kodac theater on the same red carpet the stars will align on Sunday (though the carpet was coverd with plastic).

Finally, on our way back to the car we walked by "El Capitan" theater. A nice lady asked if we wanted to see the Jimmy Kimmel Liv show. Well, of course! Not only did we see the show, but somehow got second row seats. We were so close we could have touched Jimmy during the monalogue. We can be seen on TV (though only our heads) during manny pacquiao's song at the end of the show.

Nothing was planed, and we didn't know where we were going the entire time, but we couldn't have done better being tourists

Kevin's Suprise Going Away Party

Written By: Hobee

Last night we helped Megan put on a going away party for Kevin. The suprise was no one ruined the suprise for Kevin. Special guests included Lena, the Powers, Mr. Spags, Trent & Kris, and farm friends. A great night. I even warmed up to some of the guests (I can see what Kevin see's in Megan). We partied until about 2 or 3 am - and I stayed up the entire time.

Bowling

Dan and Annie went bowling today. It is Kevin's last dollar bowling night before he leaves for LA. It was Kevin's second time bowling that day - he was getting in all the dollar bowling he could. Dan bowled a 109 and 78. Annie quite as many (see movie). She is much better at Wii bowling.

Pistons Game

As part of Kevin's going away celebration (yes, we are all celebrating his leaving:), Dan, Annie, Kevin, Vanessa, Chase, Rick, Pam, and John went to the Pistons/Spurs game. It was great game to watch. The pistons won in over time. Our team is not near it's former greatness currently (last in the division), so we didn't expect this type of game agains the formittable Spurs. Great seats too (righ where the TriComm seats used to be).
