Still celebrating Kevin's going away

At Danny's dad's house

Kevin's Suprise Going Away Party

Written By: Hobee

Last night we helped Megan put on a going away party for Kevin. The suprise was no one ruined the suprise for Kevin. Special guests included Lena, the Powers, Mr. Spags, Trent & Kris, and farm friends. A great night. I even warmed up to some of the guests (I can see what Kevin see's in Megan). We partied until about 2 or 3 am - and I stayed up the entire time.

Cooking class

Annie, Dan, Dan's dad, and Jean took a cooking class today at the Holiday Market in Royal Oak. It was fun. Hands on cooking, based on "ingredients 101." It taught how to stock a kitchen in order to have things ready for a quick meal (something the newely weds struggle with from time to time). Cooking has become more of a hobby lately, so it was a good learning expirence. A little expensive, but we woudl recommend it.

Bowling

Dan and Annie went bowling today. It is Kevin's last dollar bowling night before he leaves for LA. It was Kevin's second time bowling that day - he was getting in all the dollar bowling he could. Dan bowled a 109 and 78. Annie quite as many (see movie). She is much better at Wii bowling.

Pistons Game

As part of Kevin's going away celebration (yes, we are all celebrating his leaving:), Dan, Annie, Kevin, Vanessa, Chase, Rick, Pam, and John went to the Pistons/Spurs game. It was great game to watch. The pistons won in over time. Our team is not near it's former greatness currently (last in the division), so we didn't expect this type of game agains the formittable Spurs. Great seats too (righ where the TriComm seats used to be).

Valentine's Day

A great first Valentines day as a married couple. Dan woke up early to hobee demanding to go downstairs at atbout 8. it ended up being a ploy by man's best friend. Not more than 2 mintues after Dan hit the couch he was out cold, and the shaggy pup had stolen his place on the bed. Dan arose (for the second time) at around 10 and woke Annie (and his pup) up for fun day. The Olympics stole most of the day, and the afternoon's adventure was to Poppa Joes for wine tasting and grocrie shopping (the only way to shop).

We started off our Valentines' dinner with Champaign from Em, cheese and crackers while we prepaid our dinner. pappa Joes left us with Fish, Potatoes, Salad, Mashed Potatoes, and a bottle of wine (thanks to tasting while shopping). Dinner was served at the table (with the TV almolst off), and candles from the holder's Aunt Donna got us from Christmass. Afterwards Annie called he mom she was so excited.

Key Largo

Dan got to finish his travels with a trip to Key Largo. The best part of the Nuspire manager's Trip is Annie got to come too! Not only does Nuspire put up the managers, but pays the way for thier spouces as well. When many other companies are letting people go everyday, we are lucky to be with a company that does so much for thier employees.

Dan and Annie spent the first part of the trip relaxing poolside. On Wednesday they ventured to Key West for a day trip. Annie's first time, and Dan's first in the last decade or so. The final day was spent shark fishing. The lesson learned is the hardest part of shark catching is catching the bate. Dan was able to net Annie though :)

After 17 flights in thirty some days, Dan's travels couldn't have ended a better way.
