Tigers Game
Dan got Tigers tickets from Nuspire (award/ recognition during their last company meeting).
We had a blast. Stayed the whole game. It is cool Nuspire recognizes employees who do good work for the company.

The last game at the palace
We were lucky enough to see the last Pistons game at the palace. We had the Nuspire suite, and floor seats (3 different places around the court). Even though they lost it was a great night. A great tribute to a place I spent much of my youth.
We also sat right by Jalen Rose and Ziggy Ansah

MSU / UofM game
Written by: Dan
Annie got me MSU tickets for Christmas. Back in December we didn't know there would be one hell of a snow storm on this day. The usual hour drive took two. But the trip was well worth it. MSU won in overtime 76-66.

Faith's first Lions game
Faith did great. Cheered, yelled, gave high gives, and sat quietly and watched.
The lions beat the Vikings 16-14. We stayed for the first three quarters but it was past Faith's bedtime by Q4.

Faith meets Isiah Thomas
We saw the Detroit fireworks last night from Coach Insigna. It was a charity event benefiting Cass Community Services. Aunt Donna is involved with the organization.
Isiah Thomas we the honorary chair for the event. There was only about a few hundred attendees, so he had a chance to meet him. He was a nice guy. Much shorter than listed (6 foot). I think I was taller by a few inches. He was happy to hold Faith and take a picture.
By the end of the night Faith may have been a bigger celebrity. I think we made two papers. She was the only child there, but a well behaved baby. She spent night running in circles around the restaurant making friends. By the end everyone knew who she was, and most were quite enamored. Even Isiah.

Opening Day
Written By: Dan
I've been to a lot of Tiger's games. But I've never been to Opening Day. I've never been to a game like this. The day started early when Annie left to Pick up Em to go downtown. They didn't go to the game, but rather checked into the Book Cadillac for a Spa Day. Em came in to town to see Annie "pre-baby."
Hobee and I left shortly after Annie and headed to Aunt Donna's house. We picked up Mom, Aunt Donna, Lynn, Keith, and Jessica and headed to the DAC for pregame. After a few buckets of beer and food we headed to the ballpark. Our seats were great. On the first base line, just about where our ALDS seats were located. Here we saw one hell of a game. The Tigers beat the Yankees 8-3, propelled by 2 Fielder home runs, and excellent pitching by Drew Smyly. Smyly took over for Fister in around the 6th and didn't look back. He retired 12 straight Yankees.
After the game we walked to Greek Town to meet Annie and Em at Pizza Papolis. Greek Town was in rare form. A lot of well partied people lined the streets.
After stuffing ourselves with pizza, salad, and beer we dropped the girls back off at the Book Cadillac (they picked up Desert on the way) and headed back for wine tasting.
What a great day. We are lucky to have such great family and friends.
