Christmas
Christmas Eve we started with Santa before heading to Dad and jeans for brunch. The evening was spent at Aunt Marges for the present toss (alcohol theme), and quality time with Faith and Naomi. Christmas started off with the three of us opening gifts before heading to moms for morning presents. We left after breakfast to visit with the Knuff"s before heading back to a great Christmas dinner.
Santa, Hoban's, knuffs, Cousins, and presents. It has been a busy Christmas

Faith Learns to Crawl
Last Thursday Beanie started crawling. For weeks she rocked back and forth. Finally, motivated to chew on one of Hobee's toys she took a break for it. She hasn't stopped moving since. Our favorite part is she. She puts her head down to rest it during the trip.

Faith's First Thanksgiving
Written by: Hobee
This Thanksgiving was like no other I have ever had. We woke up SUPER early (thanks Faith). At around 5:30 the whole house was up. Dan, Annie, Dick, and MaryAnn. We had to wait over three hours for the parade to start. Usually our goal is to wake up to see some of the parade.
Well, after we all got going we had a great time. It snowed through the night, so we woke up to a great view of the lake.
After the parade Julia and Rick came over, with Sampson. Just in time for the Lions game. During the game Suzanna, her sister, and Jetta arrived.
We had a great time. 8 people, 3 dogs, and a baby. Great food, good times, and great news!

Dennis' bachelor party
Saturday marked the end of an era. The last Virginia street Pi Pi Cake celebrates the last days of bachelorhood.
This was a great night. The limo picked us up from the Holiday Inn, Detroit, and took us too the Cadaux Cafe for feather bowling. They opened early for us. We had drinks and a few games.
Next up was a distillery, then off to Greektown for dinner. Even though the restaurant was authentic, Dennis still ordered chili cheese fries. When told no, he opted for Saganaki with French fries on top.
The. Extra stop was the Joe. Redwings lost to Ottawa, but we still had fun.
Next a cab took us to the Detroiter for a few pitchers of beer before heading out to the Casino. Craps, blackjack, and drinks at the bar closed down the night.
Final stop for the evening was Lafayette Coney for late night coneys before heading back.
One of the best bachelor parties I have been to. Not a misstep in the night.

Halloween
Our first Halloween at the new house was wet, windy, and rainy. That didn't stop the trick or treaters though. We ran out of candy before 8.
It did slow the Hobans. We visited only a few houses to show off Faith's bean costume. Then headed home to dry off and warm up.
Hobee put on the sherif costume we got last year, but were to sick to use. I was a chef, and Annie a lunch lady (cooking and serving beans).

Getting shots
Faith got her 4 month vaccine today. It took her a few seconds to process what had happened. Then the crying started.
I was also talked into a shot (flu). I reacted in a similar fashion

Labor Day: Best date night ever!
Written by Dan
This Labor Day was Awesome! We went up north Saturday morning to finish off the summer. Saturday and Sunday were spent on Little Glen enjoying summer. Monday was a little chilly. After Rick, Susanna, and Julia left we headed to Bowers Harbor to wine taste. Then to the Filling station for lunch.
That evening we left Faith with Annie's parents and headed to Stormcloud brewery. Stormcloud was started by Brian, our wedding photographer. He greeted us after ordering our sampler platters, and gave us a gift - a wood painting of one of our wedding photos. Annie had given Brian permission to use our pictures for commercial purposes. We've seen our pictures on websites and magazine adds. I guess this company who makes wood and metal paintings uses our photos for samples - and we got one
The best part of the night might be the draft. As we drank our beer samplers Annie and I drafted our fantasy football teams for our couples league. Brewery and a draft, I couldn't ask for a better date!
After the draft we toured the brew house with Brian, had another drink, bought some shirts, and headed home.
A great night!

Fwd: Anniversary ice cream
Our Anniversary was on Thursday. We eat hamburgers and rice and spent most of the night trying to put Faith to bed.
On Friday we celebrated the right way. We dropped off Faith with my dad and Jean, then headed to Fishbones (Southfield) for dinner. It was a great meal. We ordered a Melbec, Alligator appetizer, and seafood for dinner. After dinner we went to Clark's for icecream.

Date night
Annie's parents watched Faith as we went out for a date in Glen Arbor. We started out shopping in town, then to Funistrata for a great Italian dinner, and finally ice cream at the Narrows. It was great to eat at the same time, at a normal pace, and talk about something besides diapers.

Hoban 4th
Thompson/Hoban Cousins
This was a great weekend. Faith's first time at the 4th, and first time meeting many of the Hoban's. Kevin also brought Sari up north for the first time. A lot of new faces at Aunt Donna's cottage.
