Faith's first Lions game

Faith did great. Cheered, yelled, gave high gives, and sat quietly and watched.

The lions beat the Vikings 16-14. We stayed for the first three quarters but it was past Faith's bedtime by Q4.

Faith visits an Alpaca Farm

California Trip

Started out working on LA. Also met Sari's family. They took me out to lunch near Century City.

After work on Friday I headed out to San Francisco (Mountain View) to see Dennis and Lisa. We spent the weekend playing with his smoker, drinking/eating, going to the Google offices, and catching up.

Hoban 4th of July

This was Faith's second Hoban 4th if July and best yet. She stayed and played with Naomi, partied, and hung out with cousins. She even got to bowl.

The Magic show was great! Annie nailed all tricks, and the girls danced between two acts.

Trip to Grand Rapids

Before heading to Rogers City we took a weekend trip to Grand Rapids. I had a work meeting Monday morning do we made a road trip of it.

We had a great time. Faith and Isabel got to spend some quality time together. Isabel was very interested in what the baby was doing. She was a great host (sharing her toys, good and furniture).

After a great BBQ dinner Saturday night Charlie made a campfire for some adult time. We went to bed late, and the kids made us pay for it the next morning at about 6am.

Sunday was spent in Downtown Rockford, a couple of Parks, and going out to eat. The ideal day for both patents and kids.

On Monday we wished the Cooks goodbye and headed into downtown Grand Rapids. Annie dropped me off at my meeting and took Faith to the Zoo. They spent a few hours there watching the lions, Tigers, monkeys, and chimpanzees. The John Ball Zoo is great for young kids. The Animals were super close to the windows, and the windows generally extended to the floor.

After the zoo and lunch they picked me up from my meeting. We then hit the road for Up North.

Faith meets Isiah Thomas

We saw the Detroit fireworks last night from Coach Insigna. It was a charity event benefiting Cass Community Services. Aunt Donna is involved with the organization.

Isiah Thomas we the honorary chair for the event. There was only about a few hundred attendees, so he had a chance to meet him. He was a nice guy. Much shorter than listed (6 foot). I think I was taller by a few inches. He was happy to hold Faith and take a picture.

By the end of the night Faith may have been a bigger celebrity. I think we made two papers. She was the only child there, but a well behaved baby. She spent night running in circles around the restaurant making friends. By the end everyone knew who she was, and most were quite enamored. Even Isiah.
